Terms of Use
Last updated
These terms govern your use of mrcaliappraisals.com. By using the site you accept them.
What the site is
Mr. Cali Appraisals is an independent residential appraisal practice based in Claremont, CA, serving Los Angeles County and San Bernardino County. Appraisals are prepared and signed by Gordon Hall, California Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser, BREA No. AR003877, in conformity with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), the professional standards that govern how an appraisal is developed and reported.
Nothing on this site is an appraisal
Nothing on this site is an appraisal or an opinion of value for any property. The articles, city pages, examples and the blank sample report describe how appraisals generally work; none of them states or implies what any property is worth.
An appraisal report exists only under a signed engagement. Submitting a form, calling, or receiving a fee quote does not create an engagement. The engagement names the client, the intended use, the intended users and the effective date of value, and the report may be relied on only by the intended users it names, for the intended use it states.
Not legal or tax advice
Nothing on this site is legal, tax, accounting or financial advice. How a value is used on a tax return, in a probate or trust matter, in a divorce or in any other proceeding is a decision for your attorney or CPA. When a report is prepared for a court, admissibility is always the court's decision, not the appraiser's.
Independence
Assignments are accepted without any predetermined value or direction as to outcome, and fees are never contingent on the value reported. The Appraisal Independence notice sets this out in full.
Your use of the site
Use the site lawfully. Do not submit information about a property you have no right to discuss, submit someone else's contact details without permission, attempt to disrupt the site, or copy its content for commercial use without permission.
Accuracy
The pages describe how appraisal assignments generally work and cite their sources where they rely on one. Rules and programs change. Confirm anything you rely on with the relevant agency or a licensed professional.
Links to other sites
Links to government agencies, the Bureau of Real Estate Appraisers license lookup and other sites are provided for reference. We are not responsible for their content.
Liability
The site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Mr. Cali Appraisals is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited. The responsibilities that come with an appraisal are set by its engagement and by USPAP, not by these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
