Gordon Hall, Certified Real Estate Appraiser
Gordon Hall is a California Certified Residential real estate appraiser based in Claremont and the appraiser behind Mr. Cali Appraisals. He works a market split by the Los Angeles and San Bernardino county line, where tax records, school boundaries and buyer pools can change across a single street, and where a 1920s Craftsman near the Colleges, a 1960s tract off Base Line and a hillside home in Claraboya behave like three separate markets.
He takes assignments directly from homeowners, attorneys, CPAs, trustees and agents as well as from lenders, which means estate, date-of-death, divorce and tax appeal work is prepared as its own report type rather than a mortgage form with a different date on it.
His reports are written on the assumption that someone will review them: an underwriter, a judge, a mediator or a county assessment appeals board. Comparable selection and adjustments are explained in plain language, and he will tell you which sales he relied on and why.
He also takes the assignments lender panels out here tend to pass on, including multi-family near downtown Pomona, vacant and hillside land toward Padua Hills and Mt. Baldy, and horse and large-lot parcels in Chino and Alta Loma. Appraisal services are performed in conformity with USPAP.
Other Mr. Cali services
Mr. Cali Appraisals shares the Mr. Cali name with Mr. Cali Offers, a cash-offer brand, and is separate from it. Mr. Claremont Real Estate is Anthony Grynchal, a licensed real estate agent who prepares comparative market analyses (CMAs), not appraisals, and is separate from this practice as well. Gordon's opinion of value is independent of any sale, listing or offer outcome.
