Mr. Cali Appraisals today announced its launch, giving homeowners, trustees, estate representatives, attorneys and real estate professionals in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties a direct way to order an independent residential appraisal for important financial and family decisions.

Appraisals are performed by Gordon S. Hall, a California Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser (BREA No. AR003877). Hall reviews each request for its location, property type, intended use and required effective date, and prepares and signs the reports for the assignments he accepts.

“Every appraisal begins with understanding the property, the purpose of the assignment and the date the valuation needs to reflect,” said Hall. “My responsibility is to evaluate the relevant market evidence and develop an independent, well-supported opinion of value.”

Appraisals for decisions that need a defensible number

Mr. Cali Appraisals accepts residential assignments for estate administration and inherited property, trusts and conservatorships, divorce and property buyouts, property tax assessment appeals and pre-listing planning.

For estate and trust matters, the first conversation settles whether the assignment needs a current value or a retrospective appraisal as of a specific date, such as a date of death.

Property owners considering an assessment appeal face a near-term date: in both Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties, the 2026 regular filing period for assessment appeals closes November 30, 2026, according to each county’s assessment appeals board. An appraisal for an appeal addresses the property’s value as of the January 1 lien date; it does not guarantee any change to an assessment.

Clients start by sharing the property address, the purpose of the appraisal and any deadline. Hall reviews the request and, if he accepts it, confirms the scope of work, the fee and the delivery date before work begins.

Independent of any sale or offer

Mr. Cali Appraisals is a separate appraisal practice that shares the Mr. Cali name with Mr. Cali Offers, a cash-offer brand. Clients can engage the appraiser without requesting a cash offer or signing a listing agreement, and Hall’s opinion of value is independent of any sale, listing or offer outcome.

The Designated Local Expert Network supports the practice as its marketing partner. Appraisal analysis, report preparation and value conclusions remain the responsibility of the appraiser who performs the assignment.

“Homeowners deserve a clear path to an independent value, especially when they are handling an inheritance, a family transition or a major real estate decision,” said Anthony Grynchal, CEO of the Designated Local Expert Network. “Our role is marketing: helping people find Mr. Cali Appraisals as the practice grows.”

Starting in two counties

The practice begins with Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties and plans to add Southern California counties over time as appraiser coverage allows. Coverage, fees and timing are confirmed for each assignment before it begins.

Homeowners and professionals can submit a property inquiry or call (909) 324-6122.
